Hello? Hello? Hello, . It's me your coach, Danny Faust. I'm super excited for today's episode. We are doing a part two of last episode, which was how to overcome Resistance to your Desires. Last episode was a very practical approach, a very realistic approach, a common sensy approach, and today's episode is the spiritual version.
This is the energetic approach, the subtle approach, the more esoteric approach. And I gotta say, I'm pumped to talk to you about this because this is what I talk about all day. , this is my jam. I wanna, you know what, sidebar. , if this is the first time you were listening to the Manifest, is this podcast, you need to know a little something about me.
While I am a hypnotherapist, very into the brain, very into neuroscience, although I don't talk about it too much on the podcast, very into positive psychology, brain-based applications to. Psychology and the psychology of our behavior, and ultimately how we get what we want. Performance, psychology, all that stuff.
I dig it so hard. However, being who I am and having the experiences I've had in my life and having multiple awakenings, I. Am so enmeshed in the more spiritual side of things, which is just as valid and just as real as the more heady psych based stuff. On the one side, I love this energy stuff, the energy work, the psychic and intuitive work, all the spiritual deliciousness and.
I believe that because we are spirits, because we are all psychic, I don't care what you believe, you're psychic and I can show you. So if you're into that, come come sis. Let me help you lean into your gifts. Because we all have that and because we're all human, we both can play, we can play on both sides, and I love that.
However, it's more fun playing on the spiritual side, , because more magic happens. It's so much more malleable and so much more free flowing and less ruley. And I wanna share some of that with you today. So if you listen to the episode about how to overcome resistance to your desires on the practical level last episode, then keep all that in mind.
Keep doing what resonated with you from that episode and. add some of these techniques that I'm gonna talk to you today about to your toolbox. So today's tips are gonna be all about gonna be specific exercises, I guess. I don't like the word exercises, activities that you can do. Some are visualizations, some are more somatic.
And they're. , very simple actions that you can take with the intention of overcoming resistance to your desires. So with that said, before I get into the actual tips, so there are several, I want you to know that. , this is what I do, . This is what I do for a living. So if you need help with any of the things that I'm suggesting to you, or if you just wanna do a one-on-one reading, or energy clearing or energy healing, shock or balancing, just to cut right to the core, dig out the thing that's your resistance and release it for you.
I am happy to do that , but no that you don't need a coach, Danny. You do not need an energy. to do this. You can do this on your own. It's just when you're practiced, it's, it's a lot easier to just get to the core, pull it out, and voila, you're free. But you can do this on your own. And I love teaching people how to do it on their own as well.
So stick with me if you are someone who believes that energy work spiritual things like that, have no. specific religion attached to it is not the jam. Then this episode's not for you, sis wait till next week. But if you're open to these things and you enjoy the more esoteric and you are open to the woo, this one's for you.
And just know like, none of this is super crazy, well, . Yeah. None of this is super crazy. This is all, in my opinion, very practical, very simple kind of common sense energy work that you can do on yourself. Okay. And it starts with the most practical of all, which is journaling, which is a practice that I suggest everyone add into their spiritual hygiene if it feels good.
So with regard to overcoming resistance, write out the resistance that you're. , sometimes we have to get things out of our physical body, our energetic body, our all of our bodies in order to kind of see it clearly and in order to release it. So write out where you're noticing the resistance around. What is it manifesting?
A certain thing, a certain amount of money that you can't go above. Is it, are you doing great in all areas of your life except one? Write it out. Write the story that you, that comes up for you and write out where you think it comes from. Now I know that there is nothing more demotivating. then thinking my problem stems from the past where I can't change it cuz I cannot go back in in time and fix what happened.
And so I'm just gonna be broken forever. You know, , that's a very de-motivating way of thinking and believing. So I operate from a place of what happened happened, and yes, that might have planted a seed that led you to where you are now, however, You're right here, right now, and you can write a new story.
You can decide to feel differently about the past, think differently about the past. Clear the, the energetic charge so that something from the past isn't a current trigger. There's lots you can do in the now about things in the past, and a very powerful thing you can do. about something that's in the past is decide not to allow it to be causing resistance for you.
So that is a very powerful decision that you can make. That is something that we do a lot of in hypnotherapy. And focusing your thoughts on what you do want coming forward, coming down the line versus everything that's in the back line anyhow, write. , write down the new story you want as your, as your belief, as your your new way of operating.
Write down, you can write down what you wish had happened in the situation that you know is like, is what's coming up to cause resistance for you? Any of this is okay. The rules are loose. What matters is that it resonates for you and it feels good for you. If writing is your least favorite thing, don't do it.
Record it with your voice into your voice recorder on your phone. Tell yourself that new story because as you do it, it's getting out of you energetically. The same way it would go from your brain, heart to hand and out through the pen out of you is the same way. It comes right out from head to heart through your throat chakra, out of your mouth, into that voice recording like it's out.
So write it out, get it out. Talk it out. Okay. That's one quick and easy way to just start that flow, start that energy flow to get the stuff out, and from there, choose new thoughts and feelings around it. This is a heady thing, but the, the doing is very energetic. because we are in our heads a lot and we can, we can spin a tail.
50 ways from Sunday, we can think around the same issue over and over and over. And I tend to attract people who do that because I used to do that a lot. I would think about a problem right side up, then I'd flip it diagonal. Think about it that way. Flip it on its back. Think about it that way. Hmm. Did I think about the problem upside down?
No yet. Nope. Let me flip it upside down. Think about the problem that way. Okay, let me flip around this way. Like you can, you can think a problem to death and what does that do? How does that serve you? It makes you think you're doing something. It makes you think that you're solving a problem. It makes you think that you're active about releasing it, but you're not.
You're just ruminating. You're just making the energetic charge around that problem or issue bigger. You're just making the resistance to your desires larger and you're delaying. The manifestation. That's what we're actually doing when we're overthinking an issue. So my Virgos out there , my perfectionists out there, stop it, , stop it right now, and choose new thoughts and feelings around it.
Okay? And you could also choose to. The thought down and not address it again for the rest of the day, or make a rule like, I'm going to think about this thing on Thursday at 3:00 PM I'm gonna compass with a solution by three 30. If not, I'll put it aside and then I'll come back to it on Monday at 4:00 and go from there.
Like you can schedule when you do the thoughts around it so you're not spiraling, so you're not overthinking and ruminating and it's not taking over. . That is how you allow it to not make a bigger charge, to make it not resist your desires further and slow down your manifestations any further as well.
Okay, so now getting a little more into the body. I want you to ask yourself, what does the resistance feel like in your body?
Take a deep breath. Take another deep breath and allow your shoulders to drop. Relax your jaw. Take your tongue down from the roof of your mouth. Take a nice deep breath and a slow exhale. Again,
doesn't your body feel different now?
Doesn't your body feel more relaxed now? And all you did was take a couple breaths and relax your shoulders and tongue and. It took you seconds. Now I want you to feel where the resistance is in your body.
If you think about the, the desire that's not manifesting and you know there's resistance to it, if it was somewhere in your body, where would. . Now, when I do this type of work with clients, usually it's like my chest, my heart, my stomach, my shoulders, my hips. People are very aware of where energy is stored in their body when they just calm down and think, calm down and feel, let me not say, think.
Nix that thinking. Calm down and feel,
and I know some people have a visceral reaction when you're told to calm down . So instead, I'll. Take a deep breath and feel, relax and feel wooah and feel going further. An exercise I love to do with clients is after they have decided what, where in their body the resistance is, I ask them what it looks like.
You can also envision you taking it out of your. and putting it in a garbage can. Closing the garbage can up and heeding it out into outer space, , or watching the garbage man come and take the garbage can, throw the whole garbage can with the resistance inside into the back of the garbage truck and drive outta sight.
It doesn't matter, the visualization doesn't matter, and you can play with this in any way You.
But if you know what it feels like in your body and you know where it is in your body, then you have a starting point energetically. You can also take the, like when you feel the resistance in your body, notice what it feels like. Does it feel like fast moving flutters? Does it feel like a big, heavy lump of lead?
Does it feel squeeZ? The, you know, whatever the , that's how mine feels. It feels squeezy, . So whatever it feels like for you, notice it. Step one. You can talk to it. You can be like, yo, why are you here? What do you want? , go away. Where'd you come from? Go back there. I don't want you. Truly, and I'm being Dr.
Like silly, but that's how I talk to my stuff. . I talked to it like it was just an annoying, like, go home, Roger. You know, because that's how it is for me. It's an annoyance. It's like, ugh, you're just in the way of my, my desire. Get outta here. I dealt with you before. Go. So talk. And see how that feels for you.
For some people, this is just way too weird and like, talk to my resistance. What do you mean? And for some people it's just like, oh yeah, that's the, that's the natural next step. Find out. It'll let you know. And by it I mean you, your higher self, the part of you in you that already knows the answers to all the things is gonna let you know where this came from and what's the best route for you to take to get this shit outta you.
Another great way is to move that body. Listen, I don't know you, but I can probably guess that you have a lot of ish stored in your collarbones, in your hips, in your ankles. I see this a lot. I also tend to attract women who have a lot stored down by their their groin, their pelvis. and things around the sacral chakra, which is like where your uterus is.
I, I tend to just attract women with a lot of stuff down there. So move. I tell people all the time, you gotta move your hips, wine, put on some soca and just wine your body around. Twerk, dance, do yoga, jumping jacks. I don't care. Walk but do it ener, do it with the energy and intention. releasing resistance, moving stagnant energy so that it can be taken out of you.
Because movement shifts things you do not feel the same. Like when you're just laying in bed talking to a friend, you feel a lot different than when you're up dancing to some music that you love with that same friend. It's two different energies, same friend, different body. . It's a whole different vibe.
So move your. . That is a very quick way to kind of shift resistance. It also shifts your energy to a place where you might be ready to do other things. So maybe you're feeling like ug, but you do a little yoga or you put on a song and you dance around to it. You twerk on your man, whatever it is. Now, you might be in a different energetic state, so you can be like, okay, now I can go do that journaling.
Now I'm more open. Or now I can sit down and and choose the thoughts I wanna feel around this thing. Or now I can do that. What does this feel like in my body? Exercise and talk to the resistance and see where it comes from and how to get rid of it. All of these things work together. There's no one and done, and there's no right or wrong.
Actually, they're all right . The only way to go wrong is to not do anything at a wall. Okay? So I also do release visualizations with people. and kind of like what I said about taking out the resistance, putting it in a garbage can and letting the dude drive away with it, I, whatever resonates for you.
Maybe you're someone who's big into Jesus. Let Jesus come and take that shit and, and go. Maybe you are into angels and you can feel the presence of an angel come around you take that resistance and be gone. Or a passed on loved one. , whatever it is, allow someone else to just take that burden from you.
It's beautiful. You'll feel lighter after you do that. So you just get yourself relaxed. If you know how to get yourself into a meditative state, go for it. Otherwise, just relax your shoulders, draw, relax your tongue, take a few deep breaths, close your eyes. Allow whatever surface you're sitting or laying on to, just support you all the way, and then envision someone coming to you, taking that shit and bouncing and just say thank you.
Don't bring it back. You can also get yourself into that nice relaxed state and then visualize it in your body and then visualize it getting smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller until it boo, it just disappears. Or you can picture it in your hand and you crush it. Like Hulk Smash, there's a, anything that that resonates for you.
maybe you are a chef. So you picture yourself dicing it up really finely and putting it into boiling water and then throwing it out the window. I don't know, , it doesn't matter. What matters is that for you, you get that energetic shift, that exhale, that ah, that lightning of a load, that awareness, that resistance is leaving your.
You can also use a room of light and just picture yourself in just a, a space where it's just any color light that you like and allow that light to just come through your body, work its way from your head down to your toes, and just disintegrate all that doesn't serve. And when it hits the resistance, it wraps itself around the resistance.
Squeezing the life out of it, disintegrating it, and just working through you so it leaves.
Another example I love is cutting cords when you are someone who can get to the root of an issue or the person who might be the root. So say the resistance is because your dad always said you'll never out to anything son or something that. , you have a, a chord to that. We have energetic chords or strings or whatever languaging you like that links us to everything, always all the time.
If you think about someone, think about your best friend, you just strengthen the chord between you and your best friend. So you and I have a chord to each other cuz you're listening to me. I'm writing, I am making this audio for you. Everyone who plays this podcast now has a chord to me. If you don't like it.
So cutting cords is the act of removing, disintegrating, splicing, whatever language you like, an energetic cord that is from you, wherever you feel it attached to in your body, to someone else, wherever you feel it in, in their body, or just into the thought of them in general. It doesn't have to be somewhere specific in their body.
What I always encourage people to do is not just cut like picture a scissor, cutting it, and then you're done. I want you unhooking it from your energy and disintegrating it so that cord, there's no way that cord can come back together. So these are, this is work that. , it is very natural. It can be very common sense for a lot of people and it also can feel very shrouded and mysterious and woo woo, and you need a special healer to come and help you do this.
And yes, I am one of those healers. Yes, it is easier for me to like, meet with you as a client. Tap into your energy, see where things are, clear stuff out for you. It, it's an easier process for you. However you can do this on your own, and I just wanna really drive this home that you can do this stuff on your own and learn how to feel things in your body.
And even if you do work with a prac practitioner, I want you to still learn to do this on your own. I want you to have this type of, of health in your own hands. You deserve that. We all deserve that, and I know that should I? , no shade to anybody in how they operate or whatever, but I know that it is beneficial for some people to make it so that this type of work feels shrouded and mysterious and like it's at some magical level of people with gifts and the regular Joe Schmo can't do this.
You know, it's beneficial for them to keep that lie alive, but it's bull. , we can all do this type of work. I described these little act activities very generally and broadly, and with as plain language as I could, because I want you to not have any biases towards the languaging or have any worries or like, Ooh, can I handle this?
Can I do this? Because you can't do it wrong. You cannot mess this up, this type of work when you begin this kind of work, if you simply say something like, I am protected by whatever you believe the highest to be, God, sore Spirit, universe, arch, Archangel, Michael, I don't care. Whoever you pray to, whatever you believe in, if you call in that energy before you start any of this work, you're.
So I want you to know that you can overcome resistance practically from the last episode. You can overcome resistance energetically and spiritually from some of the activities that I shared with you today, and any other way that feels right for you, because you always have the answers that are right for.
So play. Play with both. I love playing on both sides of these things because we are spirit beings, but we're also humans. And there's a lane, there's a place for both lanes. Watch how you recognize that, oh, I don't have to do something to manifest. I just have to be, and here comes my manifestation. All of this stuff leads to that. All of this stuff lends to that. , my desire for you is that the, like the activities that I suggested you to you today, that you pull them out, not only when you're trying to overcome resistance, but you pull them out as part of your daily spiritual hygiene practices.
