Hello. Hello, it's me your coach, Danny Faust, and I'm so excited that you guys tuned in today. This is another q and a episode and it is about how to overcome resistance to your desires. So if you notice that your desires aren't showing up and you kind of, you've have. A bit of awareness about manifesting and your role in the process, and you recognize that there's resistance there.
I'm not getting what I want. I know I have to do some type of action to help allow this into my existence. Then this episode's for you, . Okay? And let's just be clear, everyone gets into this space. We. , we are always at different levels of awareness, different levels of openness, different levels of allowing and therefore our manifestations come in at differing rates.
And, you know, maybe we're really great at manifesting money, but we're not great at manifesting specific things in our career. Or we're great at manifesting great relationships with people, but we're not great at manifesting money like, , the different beliefs and, and attitudes and thoughts that we have lend itself to how we manifest what we manifest.
So resistance can come in different various areas of our lives with manifesting desires around different, you know, verticals in our world. So, , please know that it's normal. Please know that it doesn't make, that you're mean, that you're a bad manifestor or that you can't manifest. I want you to actually think about it as, yay, I recognize that there's resistance to my desires and I now get to overcome that.
Or, you know, overcome is even too big of a word. I get to release that. So, And on the other side of me releasing this resistance is the shit I want. And here it comes, Yippy. Okay. , I want you to kind of switch the way we're thinking about it. So, okay. I'm kind of jumping in, but let me back up. So the question was, and again, I'm not reading the whole, the person's whole story, but the crux of it was how do I overcome the resistance to my desires?
I know I want the thing really badly, but here it's just not coming. So, before I can fully answer, we have to know what resistance is. So for those of you who are listening who are like, what is it? Even resistance , it's everything that is between you and your desires. If manifesting is having your desires come to pass in this lived reality of yours.
The resistance is everything that's between that happening. What, what's stopping that from happening? So that could be your thoughts, your beliefs, actions or inaction, which is an action . Your attitudes. It, you know, there's lots of ways that we can kind of tweak to make our allowing muscle flex more and lower the resistance, increase the allowing, and that's what we're gonna talk about.
I have 1, 2, 3, 4, 4 main tips and I'll just tell you them now and then we'll go into each one. So tip one is make sure you really want the thing. sounds like common sense, but legit, make sure you actually want it. Two is notice how resistance shows up for you so that you can avoid it, mitigate it, clear it, whatever.
Three is set up your life to support you getting your desire. and I'll tell you how. And then number four, I don't mean this lightheartedly cuz this is the heaviest of all of them, but it's just decide to release it. And I know that sounds kind of flip, but in deciding to release it, it's already overcoming the resistance just by deciding, making that choice to release it.
And I'll tell you a few ways on how you can do that as. . Okay,

Okay, so tip one for how to overcome resistance to your desires is to make sure you really want that. , we sometimes go on autopilot when it comes to what we say we want, and we sometimes allow other people's ideas for our lives to become our own. And when we do that, we might be pushing, pushing, pushing in the direction of a dream that's not.
or in the direction of desires that you kind of sort of, might it be nice but or maybe that you used to want because you used to be attached to them, but now not so much. It's normal. Please know that it's normal for us to kind of adopt other people's desires for us and not just other people like our family.
You know, parents, we, we hear that a lot like a kid going into medicine cuz their parent really wants them to be a doctor. But not just that, but society at large. Okay? You're a woman, so you must wanna be a mother. You must wanna be married with 2.5 kids live in a picket fence house in the suburbs.
Like that must be what you want. That's happiness for you. Go get it right. That might not be it. That might sound like torture to someone. . So society also impacts like pushing desires on us and what we're, what we should want and what we should hope our life looks like. So step one is make sure you really want what it is you say you want, what you're pushing towards, working towards actively trying to manifest.
Make sure it's. and not for others. And I always share my little five column exercise part of that, the, the beginning of that with the what do I want. You have to make sure what you want is only for you. That's where you get to be selfish and make sure that this is my heart's desire. So step one is, is this your heart's desire?
And how do you know that you think about your life with it? And does that make you ridiculously happy? When you think about you having that desire, are you over the moon? Are you just like filled with warmth and are you like E like you can just freaking scream cause you're so happy? Or is it just like, oh yeah, I mean, that'd be cool, you know, , you know that that'll set me G up.
Good. Have a good foundation. You know, it'd be nice to, to, you know, live in the suburbs and have a dual income, no kids, family, and then, you know, have a couple kids. That's nice. You know, someone take care of me when I'm old, you know, that doesn't sound like I really want that shit . You know, maybe you're someone who wants adventure and whatever.
So make sure that you truly want it. It warms your gut up on the inside when you think about it. And connected to that is make sure that you want it now. , make sure that you're not working towards old use ideas. And what I mean by that is you're actively working towards 2.0. And if you don't know what 2.0 is, just go to the beginning of this podcast,
It's like episode one, two, or three. You're gonna see everything about 2.0. And that's what I say, 2.0. That's kind of my lingo for the person that you're working towards. The version of you that has all the things that you want manifested, who is behaving, how you want, looks, how you want talks, how you want all that.
So right now you are on a quest for 2.0, but you might be working towards goals that are 1.0 shit, and therefore you're subconsciously setting yourself up to not get it because your listen, your you know, your higher self is in there. Your higher self is not gonna have you going full force towards something that's not right for you.
And that's kind of when you notice like you know, everywhere you turn you're thwarted when you're trying to get somewhere and then you just pause and you realize, oh, I didn't really wanna get to that place anyway. Thank God these things were thwarting me. It's kind of a that, so make sure you want it.
Now. The version of you today that is listening to this and the version of you tomorrow that is 2.0 that you're trying to be, make sure that the desire is for that version of. and not for teenage version of you who just blindly obeyed her parents and not early twenties version of you who blindly obeyed social media and and social programming and what you saw on tv.
Okay, that's a okay. Next. Notice how the resistance shows up for you so that you can avoid it or mitigate it or what. . So here's how to test if the resistance is coming from inside the house, if the coil is coming from inside the house. So when you think about this desire that you notice that there's resistance around, what is the next thought?
The very next thought. When you think about you having X, Y, z thing, what's the very next thought? Is it a supportive. Is it a But that'll never happen for me kind of thought or, but oh my God, it's gonna take forever. Or, but I don't have enough education. Or people like me don't get that. Or by the time I get that I'll be old or whatever.
Like, are there negative thoughts that pop up right after? Or is the following thought, one of excite. and joy and you know, laced with the feelings of freedom or whatever value you think that having this thing is going to bring into your life. If it's the former, if it's a a yucky thought, well then we know that your thoughts are the resistance provider, and then we can easily go figure out what the thought stems from and work it out.
Or maybe it's not a thought. Maybe you notice that you end up talking to people who diminish your ideas or who are negative. You being around people who are negative is is like a low key way of you holding yourself back. Am I gonna go on a tangent here? I. , I might look, you know, you've heard the, that you're the sum of the five people you're around.
Most, I, I don't know where they got those stats, but the crux is really true. People who sit with millionaires make more money than people who sit with hobos. , okay? It's real talk. And so we position ourselves to be around. People who are successful so we can have success. We learn from people who are successful so we can have success.
We we are around other athletes so we can be a better athlete, whatever the thing is. And when we are around people who are negative, people who have a problem for every solution, people who like, insist on taking the pessimistic view on. What do you think that's gonna do to you and your psyche and how you're thinking about your goals and how you're thinking about your life and how you're thinking about yourself, how you're thinking about your, the world and your place in it.
So I'm not saying to cut Keisha off . Well, her raggedy negative thinking ass, but I'm saying when you are thinking about your goals and you're noticing resistance, notice if it comes around after you have spoken to certain. or after you, you know, maybe you are, oh, I wanna be an actor and I'm training and I love acting and I'm good at it, and blah, blah, blah.
And then you go and talk to people who are all failed actors, , or people who haven't gone towards their dreams and they're like, oh yeah, acting is hard. It's like a one in a million shot and oh, this, that, that. Notice if you're doing that because that's re. . That's getting into your subconscious, that's getting into your psyche.
Don't let them plant that seed. Your garden is fertile. We don't want them raggedy seeds over here cuz we're making a thriving garden. Okay? Okay. So another way that resistance can show up is you make yourself so busy that there's no space in your life for the thing.
Okay, I'm guilty of this one. Let me, let me real talk to you right now. I am so guilty of this. I started graduate school shortly after I graduated undergrad, and then I was like, eh, I don't know if I wanna do this night right now. Let me pause it and then I'll go back later, later. Is like now 10 whole years later, I'm like, okay,
But through the time that has passed, I filled my life and every time it was a new semester and I'm like, oh, maybe I should re-enroll. Oh, well I can't because I've got this and my B my business is doing this, and the kids that, and my husband that and moving and renovating the house and this, that, that.
There was always so, And it was legitimate because these were real things in my life. They did take up time and energy and effort, and I was making myself so busy that there was no space in my life for a goal. That was a huge goal for me, a big desire that I had to make the step forward for. So I want you to check your life.
Look at your planner. Are you feeling your life with stuff? So that you can be like, ah, man, I can't go be an actor now, , I've gotta do this job and I've gotta take the kids to there. Look at your life and then look if there's actually space for what you want. And that's energetic. Space, time, space. Okay. Now when we're thinking about actual physical desire, I want you to think if there's physically space for it.
And this is a big, big thing that I noticed with a lot of my clients, both my coaching clients as well as like my clients that I teach them how to do energy healing and how to channel and stuff. There's like a lack of physical space. So look around your house. Is it cluttered? Do you have like dust behind knickknacks on every surface?
That is an energetic clutter, but it's also a physical clutter that is impacting not just the, the, the manifestation that you're specifically thinking of with regard to the resistance, but all of your other manifestations as well. So clean up. Real talk. Clean your house. Clean your room. If you, if you live with other people, clean your room.
Clean the spaces that you control or, or self-control. Clean it out, clear it out. Keep what's for 2.0. Keep what's for you now and what's for future You and everything else can go. And even if you are not in a place where you. Like part with it legit. Just be like, all right, this is gone. I'm out. Whoof and commit to that.
Even if you box it up and put it in a friend's garage, box it up and put it in a storage facility, box it like, even if you just compartmentalize it in that way, you will notice and. almost immediate. Fuck that almost. You will notice an immediate shift in your energy, obviously in your physical space when you're turning, and looking your head and seeing less stuff.
But that is such a powerful shift. It's such a intentional, purposeful, action filled shift that, you know how they say nature of hoards, the vacuum energy's gonna come and fill that in immediately. Since you're doing it with the, the intention of clearing to clear resistance to allow in something desired, you're gonna allow in something desired.
And I'm not saying that, okay, you take your broken car out of your driveway and then all of a sudden you're gonna come back home and see the Range Rover. You want . Like, I'm not saying that kind of magic's gonna happen to that extent, but magic will happen. Please know that. And also that driveway example.
Kind of, sort of did happen from a client of mine. She was just like intending on a a new car. A new car, but every time she looked out her front door, she sees in the driveway this raggedy old one. She's like, why didn't I just get it towed away earlier? I don't know. But after she did, it was like, now she can really envision the new car.
And she did the steps that she needed and she got it. But there was something about the physical old car sitting there, hunk. Like taking up space in her world that was causing resistance. Anyway, I say this all to say, make some space, and if you're not in the position where you can clear out today, like look at a small space, look at your nightstand and clear the top of the night sandoff with intention.
Look at your desk or whatever. Clear it out. Look at your inbox, clear it. and let's see if a nice, invite email comes in and, and you go somewhere you've always wanted to go. Let's see if a nice job request pops up for you. Who knows? But you don't want to have no space in your life, time-wise, energetic, wise, and physically.
You don't want that type of, that's physical resistance, and that's so easy for you to clear out. Now if your house is pristine, I want you to just clean. You don't have to like clear out, declutter, all that stuff. Just clean with the intent of opening space, allowing in. What can serve. Okay. Okay. So that was noticing how resistance shows up for you.
So it can show up in lots of ways, right? Your thoughts physically, energetically through other people, people like diminishing your ideas, all that stuff, and many other ways. Please know, this is not an exhaustive list. This is just a few ideas to get you thinking like, Hmm, what's the bullshit holding me back?
Right? Okay. And then the next is set up your life to support you getting that desire. So this kind. Ties in with the making space, right? So actually that is step one. It's to make space in all areas of your life. If you want the car, make space in the driveway, clean the garage, make envision that car in there.
Of course, you're gonna have to do other things, but set up your life to support it if the thing that you wanted, boo, landed right here in your lap right now, are you prepared for it? Could you handle it real talk. I wanna be an actor if, what's that dude, Steven Spielberg . I don't know why he comes to mind, comes knocking on your door saying, I want you to star in this next big 500 million budget movie.
Let's go. We're gonna start today. Shooting starts today. Here's the script. Are you ready to go? Do that? Is your life set up to support the thing that you say you really. , and this is just you having a little real talk moment with yourself, right? Because sometimes it's not, and you getting awareness of that is dope because you know what you'll have to do to get your life into a place to support you, and you'll notice yourself doing it, and you'll do it with that intention.
And then you'll notice other little things popping up that you've desired, and then you'll be like, oh shit. My resistance is lowering . and then here comes whoosh. The things that you have been resisting cuz you've opened up and said, oh, I am ready for this. Oh, I can make, I can allow this. That's what we're doing.
Okay. So make space, set yourself up. Look at your schedule. If you're like, oh, my desire thing is to really To deepen my spiritual practices and I, I wanna learn how to go into the ec Kasic records and read the records, and I wanna learn how to commune with my spirit guides and, you know, all that
but you aren't meditating, you're not even setting up your schedule so that you can at least meditate or read books on it, or take classes on it, or work with a coach named Danny on it. . If you're not setting up your life for that, then do you really want it? How, how, how's it gonna? and if your life is too cluttered and I knocked on your door and was like, Hey, let's sit down and have a course.
Let me teach you how to read the Akasha records right quick. Would you be able to say, yeah, let's do this. If not set up your schedule to show that you mean business. And this is I, this is something that came up. And I've spoken about a million times. Way. Wait, wait, wait. Back in the day when I was a personal trainer, it's like, okay, you say you want this weight loss or that fitness goal.
When are you working out? What's your schedule like? When are you planning your meals? Now real talk again. This is way, way, way, way. Cuz I ain't planning no meals now . I probably should. But are you setting up your schedule to get the desires? You say you. What we have to do, and this is kind of my third tip, is to like make it, and of course, and I actually.
Of course energy is gonna be an upcoming podcast topic because I got a question about it. But, so if you are listening, the person who asked that question, I hope you're listening to this cuz you're gonna get a mini answer right now. So, of course energy is getting into a place where your desire, it's like, of course it's going to manifest.
I have zero doubt that it's gonna manifest because I'm a person who blanks. So keeping the, the fitness example. You know, of course I'm gonna lose 20 pounds and fit into my old wedding dress because I'm someone who works out every day and eats veggies and drinks water and gets adequate sleep. Of course it's gonna happen.
There's no doubt, because we know how fitness works. We know how calories work. We know what working out and eating well and drinking water and getting good sleep. We know what this does to a body. So of course, that's gonna be the outcome, right? Or if you're saving x. Each week for the new car, of course we're gonna get the new car cause I'm saving this much each week and I'll have it by whenever.
When you're in, of course energy, there's zero doubt, there's zero space for hemming and hawing and oh, I wonder if and what if that. , that shit doesn't have a place because you're in, of course, energy. Of course. And it's funny because very recently a past client said, I didn't know I was in, of course, energy.
It ju until I looked back and realized that that's what of course, energy felt like, . So I want you to just keep in mind that you might, it might be something that you look. , look back at it , you look back at your of course, energy because while you're in it, you're not actively saying, of course I, of course I'm going to X, Y, z.
It's, you kind of look back at the version of you that you became by doing all the things that you needed to do, and you look back and then you're like, oh, of course I got the thing I wanted because look at who I was being. Right. Okay. So set up your life to support you getting. . And now the last tip, even though I kind of did mini tips within the tips, but you know what I'm saying, the last big tip is to decide to release it.
Decide to release the resistance. And for those of you who are on a spiritual kind of journey and who know the. The power in the energetics of the spoken word and releasing and shifting your energies. I feel like that for you, it might be a little bit of a an easier shift because you know what deciding feels like and you also know what releasing feels like.
So do that work. If what I just said sounded like mumbo jumbo, gobbled, then don't worry that wasn't for you right now, but it will be. So decide to release it. and do the healing work that's required to stop that resistance. So for example, hire, hire somebody, , hire a me, hire a coach, or an energy healer or and if not a me, another hypnotherapist or another coach.
Hire somebody who you resonate with, who you know gets it and allow them to support you through. So there's that. But if you're doing this on your own, which is totally possible, please know you can do this shit on your own. do the meditations, the journaling, the inner work, the reparenting, whatever it is that you know you have to do to shift your thoughts, your attitudes, your actions, your beliefs, whatever it is that underneath, you know, because child, you already know, let's just sidebar.
You already know what it is that you need to do to get from where you are, to where you wanna be, you. . You do trust me, because when you close your eyes and you allow yourself to get still and you let your breathing slow, and it's just you and you, when you ask your inner self, what do I need to do? You will tell you that inner.
ain't no joke. And it is required for your uplevel, so spoiler alert, you're gonna have to do it sometime. Okay, . So there's that. But do the work, whether it be e, f, t, tapping breath work, like I said, journaling, meditating, all that stuff. Hypno, all of the modalities work is just which one you wanna do for you.
Which one resonates. What do you like best? Are you very in your head? Are you in your body? Do you wanna do yoga and move stuff around? Do like what's your jam?
The next step is to prioritize that healing that has to be done. And that's kind of like a gimme, respon a gimme answer, but you do have to prioritize it and prove to yourself that releasing that re. Is important to you, you prove it to yourself by prioritizing it. So that goes back up to the other thing with setting up your schedule, making it a part of your day-to-day, which then makes it a part of who you are, which then makes it an of course.
Do you feel me? You feel me? I know you do. We're here. I'm doing that two finger eye thing from my eyes. To your eyes so how to overcome resistance to your desires. Make sure you really want the thing. Notice how resistance shows up for you such your life up to support you getting the. and decide to release that ish. And in deciding you're already taking steps to allow deciding to release.
It comes with actions that must be taken, whether you do it alone, whether you hire a me, whether you hire a somebody else, you can't avoid. , if you're gonna be who you say you wanna be.
So my desire for you is that you start sooner than later, sis. And I say that with love. I say this whole freaking episode with love. But you know that cuz you could feel me and I could feel you.
